I guess the secret is out. The Open Heart Kit --one of the favorite kits of all time around our hackerspace-- is now available from Makezine. And to top it off, it was developed by our very own Jimmie P. Rodgers. There are a bunch of people I know who would like this for Christmas. Better put it on my list. Here's the link.

Our members have created a fantastic Halloween show for the Charles River Museum of Industry, and you are invited! Based on the concept of what would happen if you could pass through a turbine into the Charles River, the show features glowing underwater creatures, modified toys, handbuilt circuits, a game to find and activate ghosts and much, much more. The show will be at the museum from Thursday, October 30th through Sunday, November 2nd. 5:30-9:30pm. All proceeds will benefit the Charles River Museum of Industry. |

Want to check out our fabrication space in Union Square? Stop by on Sunday morning from 10:30-12:30, and we'll be happy to give you a tour. The space is over 2000 square feet, and has all of our welding and metalworking supplies, Bridgeport, lathes, drill presses, saws and more. You can build almost anything there! We are located in the basement of 440 Somerville Ave, between the Market Basket supermarket, and Maaco. |
